2012 Wrap Up

Our first concert on the 12th December at St Aloysius was the culmination and highlight of a successful start to our new season as an independent organisation. In the lead up, we performed twice in George Square as part of Glasgow Loves Christmas, delivering favourite carols in the big marquee. Our contributions to midday mass at St Peter’s, Partick were also appreciated.

We look forward to the new year when we start with a performance celebrating St Kentigern (St Mungo) in Barony Hall 1600-1700 on the 13th January.

The start of a new season…

We got our first peek at the pieces for the new season last night – some beautiful motets by Poulenc (well, hopefully they will be beautiful once Alan has finished with us) plus Victoria, Lauridsen and Palestrina.  These will be fantastic in a rich acoustic and we already have concerts lined up in St Aloysius in December and St Peter’s in June so a great season ahead.  Ideally a few more sopranos and altos would help the balance so if you are not yet a choir member why not give it a try?
