The Strathchamber Trust presents Strathclyde University Chamber Choir’s annual “late evening” performance on the eve of the West End Festival which takes place once again in the glorious surroundings of St Peter’s in Hyndland St, Partick and includes the 20th century choral classic Totus Tuus by Henryk Gorecki and the Scottish premiere of the 17th century Polish mass setting Missa Pulcherrima by Bartlomieja Pekiela. The programme also features recent choral music from the USA (Morten Lauridsen) and Scotland (James MacMillan). This is an exceptional feast of choral masterpieces, mixing the familiar with the relatively unknown, in an incomparable setting.
Ticket prices £9.00 for adults, (concessions £7.00, students £5.00) and available from our online store. Performance Friday 31st May 2013 at 9pm at St Peter’s Church, Hyndland St, Partick, Glasgow G11 5PS (Map). Concert poster (PDF): Totus Tuus Poster.
